Reader’s Response on Bolivia’s Lithium

The following is a comment anonymously submitted in response to “Lucky Bolivia and the Future of Lithium in the World Economy.” We believe that this comment’s message is profoundly important and should be shared with our distinguished readership.

Lithium has an isotope used for producing energy and its the most important fact about these reserves. The economic value of its use in batteries and other normal uses is insignificant compared to what this isotope offers.

Any country/corporation that gets a hold and controls that isotope will be able to control energy production on Earth for a long time. The next available reserve is Jupiter, some distance away for now. Bolivia holds 60% of the World reserve if not more. And its very clear that they are unaware of the gold they have on their hands.

Evo Morales, due to his lack of foresight as well as his brainiac Lineras have been diligent about improving the overall economic reserves of the country. But have done so at the expense of 40% of the population. And in this one, they may miss the mark so badly that it will probably change their fate.

Bolivia as a whole needs to believe in its self and work to make it a better place. Having lived there for over 25 years and been able to travel to every place in the country, I can have a lot to say about it. People are nice and friendly, and always looking for a way to make a buck. They have the resources, even the knowledge to make that country a better place to live. Though they never work as a team and trust or help each other. On average they are more willing to help a foreigner and trust them with their fate. Sanchez de Lozada is a prime example. This their downfall.
