		<description>I totally agree with you. There is no compelling reason why Venezuela should not granted membership into Mercosur and looking at this trade blocs history so far it looks they really do not have a clear cut program on how this organization is going to work now or in the future. </description>

Like, in one day there is an extreme leftist (and OMG a boooring!!) rant about deforestation in the Amazon, then, in another day there is this article that attempts to be fair and well-reasoned about Venezuela&#039;s prospects in the Mercosur. Well, anyone who browses COHA&#039;s publications (the recent ones at least) knows that COHA is liberal and &quot;chavista&quot;, so there is no doubt where COHA&#039;s preference is on this matter.   </description>
