However, Cuban people are suffering from the U.S. embargo, which they correctly call a trade blockade, and terrorist attacks since nearly the victory of their revolution against the Batista regime having cost 20.000 dead people. Nevertheless, they try to go upright and to continue in creating a just society, in disobedience to the U.S. That's why they seem have been punished from the U.S. point of view. And so the Cuban Five seem to be punished for having tried to save lives not only those of their compatriots, but also those of U.S. citizens wanting to fly to Cuba.
