I'm in full agreement with the analysis and opinion presented here. But I would like to correct one factual error:

Carmen Lomellin, the Obama administration's nominee for U.S. Permanent Representative to the OAS, is not a career Foreign Service functionary like Amselem but a political appointee. Her nomination for the position, which only came on September 14, will not become effective until she's confirmed by the Senate. Given the apparent willingness of the majority party to allow Sen. Jim DeMint to obstruct and actively counter U.S. policy, there's no telling how long that confirmation will take.

Lomellin has been an employee of the OAS for the last decade. Her biography can be found here:

People who live in glass houses should not throw stones. I know for a fact that COHA supported Chavez's closure of RCTV in 2007 after that station called for Chavez's removal. Now they condemn Micheletti for closing a station that called for his own removal? COHA's articles are the height of hypocrisy. I'm sure someone will say that RCTV's closure was nothing like Cholusat's, and that Micheletti is the devil. Communism and authoritarianism are alive and well, and so are their sycophants.

"It is an opinion. An analysis of current events in this case in Honduras. "

And therein lies the problem, an opinion and an analysis in one, subjectivity destroying objectivity repeatedly through the careful selection of the most emotive words and phrases.

Such an approach demolishes the credibility of the facts you present. Or do you not see that?

And for the record, I am against the coup 100%, but I am equally against this sort of manipulative journalism, it's not what is usually found on this site.
