We find that terminology offensive and a sign of outdated imperialistic thinking. It implies that we belong to you. There is the front yard, the house and the backyard. Is the US the house? Does that make Canada your front yard? Do you reefer to Canada in those terms? We are Central America. It is not our fault that you are up in the north. I urge Americans to re -think how you define us. We are certainly not your BACKYARD anymore.
